Monitoring Alerts & Notifications

Check Live watches the websites on your account and notifies you when a check does not succeed, so you can react before your visitors notice the problem.

When you receive an alert

  • Your website did not respond to a monitoring check.
  • Your website returned an error instead of loading normally.
  • Your website came back up after a failed check.

Where alerts are sent

Alerts go to the notification email address on your Check Live account. Keep that address current — if it stops working, alerts cannot reach you.

I am not receiving alerts

  1. Check your spam or junk folder and any promotional or filtered inbox tabs.
  2. Add the Check Live sender address to your safe-sender list.
  3. Confirm the notification email address on the account is spelled correctly.
  4. Confirm the website is still added to monitoring and your plan is active.

If alerts are still missing, submit a request and select Monitoring Alerts & Notifications. Tell us the website address and the email address that should be receiving notifications.

I received an alert but my website looks fine

Short outages, slow responses, and temporary hosting or network problems can cause a failed check even when the site loads for you moments later. The alert records what Check Live saw at the time of the check. If alerts repeat and you cannot find a cause, submit a request and we will review the check results with you.

Turning alerts off

Alerts are part of monitoring, so they stop when monitoring stops. To end monitoring entirely, follow Cancel Subscription.
