Monitoring Frequency & History

Check Live runs repeated checks against the websites on your account and keeps the results so you can see how your site has behaved over time.

How often your website is checked

Checks run automatically on a schedule once a website is added to monitoring. How frequently they run and how many websites you can monitor depend on the plan on your account — the plan details are listed on check-live-site.com.

Reading your monitoring history

  • Successful checks show that your website responded normally.
  • Failed checks show the times your website did not respond or returned an error.
  • Response times show how quickly your website replied to each check.

Reviewing the history together is the fastest way to tell a one-off blip apart from a repeating problem worth raising with your hosting provider.

Why results can differ from what you see

Check Live tests your website from outside your own network and browser. Caching, a local network issue, or a very brief outage can mean your browser looks fine while a check recorded a failure, or the reverse. The history reflects what the monitoring check observed at that moment.

Requesting a review of past checks

If you want us to look at specific results, submit a request and select Monitoring Frequency & History. Include the website address and the dates or times you want reviewed so we can find the right records.

Changing how often checks run

Check frequency follows your plan. If you need more frequent checks or more monitored websites, submit a request and we will advise which option fits.
